On July 26th, BEAST took some time out to do an interview with a Korea media outlet and answered questions about their new album and the first big change in their member lineup.
Yoon Doo Joon said, “We knew that people would be talking about it [Jang Hyunseung’s departure]. We accepted that as a fact. We decided to just accept it and give it our best. We knew that lots of people would be looking at us closely after what happened, but we did not want to get too hung up on their words.”
BEAST discussed that it was the differences in musical styles that caused the group to go on a different path from Jang Hyunseung.
Yoon Doo Joon said, “It was a bit disappointing. At first, we were a bit afraid to go on as five members; but we did not want to disappoint our fans. We hope that the fans can understand the hard work that we are bringing in and we ask fans to continue to support Jang Hyunseung as well. We want people to recognize and support him, too; whether it’s his solo albums or whatever activities he decided to do in the future.”
BEAST also discussed the issue about their contract expiration. They said, “Many people think that it is a major issue and since that it is forthcoming, we haven’t been able to talk over with one another about it because of our promotions. We have talked about it among ourselves a little. But, there’s no need to worry about it because we plan to work well together for as long as we are together.”
