As of July 15th, it has been confirmed that there’s a new musical in town, starring some of our favorite K-pop idols! “Zorro: The Musical” will include SHINee’s Key, B2ST’s Yoseob, and AOA’s ChoA just to name a few.
The lead male role, Diego, will be shared between Key, Yoseob, singer Wheesung, and actor Kim Woo Young, with ChoA claiming the part of the Luisa, the female lead. Zorro tells the tale of a masked outlaw vigilante who takes bad guys down in his own style, and Luisa is his love interest. The show has already met with success in several other countries, and is expected to do well in Korea also.
Key is no stranger to the musical stage, having recently starred in ‘The Three Musketeers” and “Bonnie and Clyde.” The same can be said of Yoseob and Kim Woo Young, who have also participated in several productions. The killer line-up is bound to generate interest and have fans scrambling to get tickets.
The company running the show, M Musical, has admitted that they have made some unique changes to the show. The goal is to give the characters life and make them vivid, so the Korean production will be unique in and of itself. The show begins on Aug 27th, with performances at Seoul’s Chungmu Art Hall, and will run until Oct. 26th.
