Filming of “My Daughter Seoyoung” Interrupted Due to Payroll Issues

Filming of “My Daughter Seoyoung” was halted due to issues with pay but filming resumed following rectification.

On December 18, Korea Broadcasting Actor’s Union took over the filming set due to non-payment of actors, forcing all members to halt filming. The episodes in question was 14 to 24 which the actors has not been paid, which includes idols CNBLUE‘s Jungshin and AOA‘s Seolhyun.

A day later, the issue has been resolved and filming began immediately. Filming that took place on December 19 will be aired on December 22 and 23. KBS commented that although the delay will not affect the episode’s broadcast, changes to the set up may be necessary.

Production firm HB Entertainment commented, “The situation with the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union is different from what was reported through some media outlets. We have always paid the actors on the day that was written out on their contracts. There has never been a time when we haven’t paid the actors.”

Previously, the drama The Great Seer faced similar issue with payment of actors and staff on a timely manner involving a foreign production company.
