The worst is behind them in terms of showcasing their comeback single ‘Red Light’, fans can rest assure that f(x) will be able to perform on Music Bank without an issue. To be able to showcase the groups song, it had to go though a series of analyzations to be sure the lyrics are appropriate for viewership on KBS.
On June 3rd, a representative of the girls company, SM Entertainment reported that while the song was being analyzed for censorship, a “troublesome” lyric was found they changed it from ‘caterpillar‘ to ′infinite orbit′. The reason behind this is because originally ‘caterpillar ‘ was censored is due to a specific brand that specializes in designing, manufacturing,as well as marketing and selling heavy equipment.
This is not the first time any group/artist have undergone changes to meet the standards of a viewing company such as Vixx, their songs choreography for ‘Voodoo Doll’ was banned because at a certain point in the choreography the member was “killed”. Another group that has undergone such change was Raina with their song ‘Dr. Feel Good’, the company labeled it as being very sexual from wardrobe to the choreography. Even though this is very common for groups to go through this, fans still find it aggravating because they tend to enjoy the original song. Normally by the time a song is banned fans have already fallen in love with the choreography and seeing it changed can be disheartening.
