Up-and-coming quartet ICiA have made their first comeback since May last year!
Check out the music video for ‘Sad Heel‘, ICiA‘s second music video ever, below!
‘Sad Heel‘ sees ICiA take on a more sultry sound than the group has previously promoted with. A combination of steady piano chords and slap bass gives ‘Sad Heel‘ a more grown up sound, which is complemented by the ICiA members’ vocal lines. The rap sections sound sophisticated and contrast with the vocal melodies. The bridge section places emphasis on the vocalists’ voices, dropping all instrumental backing apart from soft, lengthy piano chords and some finger snaps, which provides a nice build up to a high solo note.
The music video for ‘Sad Heel‘ switches between shots filmed in a desert and clips shot in an elegantly decorated building. The four ICiA members wear a variety of beautiful, elegant formal dresses which add to the sensuality of the music video. ICiA incorporate their outfits into their choreography, making the most of their long, floating skirts.
ICiA are represented by relatively small company DAM Entertainment, which is also home to acts such as APL and Girl Crush. ICiA originally debuted as five-membered group SIDA in 2015 under 2L Entertainment with title track ‘It’s You‘. After a number of member changes, ICiA released ‘Time Bomb‘ under OGAM Entertainment. ‘Sad Heel‘ is ICiA‘s first release under DAM, and comes on the back of even more changes in members.
