Infinite has released a dance rehearsal video for their first single of the year “Last Romeo“! The boys released two comeback tracks this summer, “Back” in July, this song “Last Romeo” in May as well as having completed their That Summer 2 concert series in mid August. Also, L and Hoya have landed roles in the upcoming drama “My Lovely Girl” and Woohyun and Sungyeol appeared in “High School Love On.” Woohyun even had a surprise sub-unit with SHINee‘s Key and Hoya featured prominently in Eric Nam‘s perfectly adorable song “Ooh Ooh Ooh“! They’ve been busy little bees! Additionally, Hoya hurt his ankle in late July, as we told you about here, putting the dance performances for their concert in question. With this release, all of those fears are put to rest.
There is no clear way to tell when this video was made but given the very public nature of Hoya’s injury, it stands to reason that this is a newer recording. Take a look at the video!
I barely have the words to describe how good this dance practice is! The original video is alright but like most videos, it focuses on the storyline and how handsome the members are. I am not complaining about the face-time with the boys trust me, I count Infinite among the best looking bands in K-Pop. Truly, there is no member of Infinite that is less than an 8 out of 10. However, in the case of Infinite, they are easily one of the best dancers in the industry so I welcome the chance to watch them dance without the distraction of story or editing effects. Their precision and unity is the stuff that dancers dream of and very few achieve. There is so much to love here, the transitions, the physical tightness of the space they’re dancing in, the precision and artistry of their movements, the fact that unlike other younger idols, they can dance next to a mirror and not be dazzled by their own good-looks, it is all amazing. I know I kept getting dazzled by the charm and charisma oozing from the screen, I don’t know how they manage.
In all seriousness, Infinite are consistently listed among the best dancers in the industry, keeping company in the Top 5 with SHINee and EXO. This video is just another example of why that is and is proof that dance is manly and athletic. What did you think about this video? Let us know in the comments!
