Infinite is getting a new star in the group with Sungyeol landing the lead role in drama, ‘Temporary Cold Case Task Force.‘ He will be playing alongside rookie, Lee Ye Hyun.
The drama is a one-act about a detective and journalist who use their skills and some fantastical means to solve cold cases. The show works towards giving hope to young people and families of cold case victims, while also incorporating fantasy.
Sungyeol plays Oh Kyun Sik who has special abilities that make him a perfect detective. Kyun Sik dreams of being a police officer but because of severe dyslexia, his dreams aren’t viable. Then, by chance, he ends up catching a robber and becomes Korea’s first intern detective.
Lee Ye Hyun plays opposite Sungyeol as Lee Min Joo, a former soccer player who had to quit because of a damning accident. After losing her job as a sports journalist, due to poor writing skills, she happens upon Kyun Sik when they both discover the biggest scoop of their lives!
The show is said to begin filming sometime in January and air in the first half of 2017.
