Rookie girl group LUNARSOLAR is gearing up for their first comeback since debut!
On March 25th, the JPlanet Entertainment group revealed a visual film as part of their teasers towards their upcoming 2nd single album, ‘Solar : Rise’ in conjunction with title track, ‘DADADA’. This acts as a continuation from their debut with ‘Solar : Flare’. Check out the short film down below!
In the video, we hear a smooth relaxing guitar and drum beat as the members all pose for photos during a photoshoot for their new release. Wearing colourful yet chic clothing, the members exude a trendy type of charisma. The desaturated filter placed over top the video makes the video have a more serious undertone to contrast the brighter outfit choices.
The group have previously dropped a set of concept images that match the attires worn in this video. Preceding this, there were two other short films that revealed an initial set of comfy pajama wear and yet another set of ensembles which featured similarly vibrant colours with a touch of high-fashion to them.
The quartet debuted in September last year with their aforementioned ‘Solar : Flare’ and their energetic dance title track ‘Oh Ya Ya Ya’. Consisting of members Eseo, Jian, Taeryeong and Yuuri, a few members have had previous attempts and appearances within the music industry. Taeryeong appeared on idol survival shows such as JTBC’s ‘Mix Nine’ and Mnet’s original series of ‘Produce 101’. Main vocalist Jian tried her hand on KBS’ ‘The Unit’ and was a former member of the now disbanded girl group, S.E.T. Finally youngest member Yuuri was formerly part of the Japanese group IS’9 in 2013 however graduated out of the lineup in 2015. These earlier efforts led the group to peak at a middling #40 on the Gaon Album Chart, selling just over 4,000 copies of their album. In addition to garnering a positive reception internationally, the only way for them is up with incoming rising popularity and curiosity towards the group’s first comeback.

LUNARSOLAR’s 2nd single album, ‘Solar : Rise’ along with the featured title track ‘DADADA’ will be released on April 7th, 6PM KST!
