On September 27th, Stardom Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Brand New Music, Miss $’s label, over the fact that Brand New Music has taken Miss $ member, Oh Yoomi, from them who already had a contract, which was supposed to last until September 2013, with Stardom Entertainment.
“Miss $ member Oh Yoomi had a contract with us until September of next year, but Brand New Music took her to create Miss $ and released a single album. They must be brought to justice because they took a Stardom Entertainment member, used our team name and went against standard ethics in the music industry. We’re filing for an injunction and damage compensation,” Stardom Entertainment announced.
With Brand New Music countering with, “The former company Brand New Stardom was split into Brand New Music and Stardom Entertainment. When we split, in our contract we both agreed that neither company would restrict Miss $’s movement after their first album. We followed through on the contract, so there won’t be a problem.”
