Soloist Baek Ji Young has been taking dominance of many music charts with her new ballad, “Hate It.”
She had made her comeback with “Hate It” on January 3rd and since then it took the #1 spot on online music charts like Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Naver, and Daum.
Many were surprised at the fact that she ranked over Girls’ Generation‘s new track. “I Got a Boy” which dropped from first place to #2.
“Hate It,” written and composed by famous pianist Yiruma, gained much attention before its release. Yiruma also appeared in the music video of said track as well as beside Baek Ji Young on live music program performances.
The track is receiving positive feedback and love for Baek Ji Young’s emotional voice and Yiruma’s talented work on the piano.
In related news, Baek Ji Young will be having a solo concert on February 16th.
