Super smooth singer-songwriter Eddy Kim is back!
Eddy Kim released the music video for his toe-tapping track ‘Bet on Me‘ on November 2nd. Take a look at the fun clip below!
‘Bet on Me‘ is a funky song that will have you grooving along right from the start. A funk-style guitar line lends the track a retro feel similar to that in Bruno Mars‘ hit ‘Uptown Funk‘, which is amplified by the backing vocals throughout the chorus. Thrown in amongst the funk influences are some very contemporary sounds, most notably the use of synthesisers and a drum machine which keep the track sounding fresh. Bookending the song with a vocal solo gives it a unique element, and shines a spotlight on Eddy Kim‘s slightly husky voice.
A groovy song deserves an equally fun music video, and ‘Bet on Me‘ delivers. The majority of the clip sees Eddy Kim and a rotating cast of friends dancing along to the song in a car. The low-key setting balances out the more over-the-top elements of the music video, resulting in being entertaining yet chilled out.
‘Bet on Me‘ is Eddy Kim‘s third music video for 2017, following his previous comeback with ‘Heart Pound‘ in June and a cover of Seo Taiji‘s ‘Now‘ in August. ‘Bet on Me‘ is the title track from Eddy Kim‘s new single album of the same name.
