EXO‘s Chanyeol and Sehun have finally released their collaboration track ‘We Young‘.
‘We Young‘ is a warm and vibrant, but chill hip-hop track. It mashes together percussion elements and a bright piano melody with a trap base beat. Both Chanyeol and Sehun are known for their rap skills, which suits the laid-back funk overtones of the song, but when Chanyeol starts crooning during the pre-chorus, well, all bets are off!
The songs hook, will have you hooked! The two EXO members give the song their all, oozing charm and charisma in the delivery and add a sense of fun, that is missing from many of todays releases.
The lyrics of the song send out a message of hope to the young, hoping that they can learn to love themselves just the way they are and go off in search of what they really want to do in life!
The music video that accompanies ‘We Young’ is just as bright and fresh as the song itself. It features the pair of them living their lives and enjoying themselves as they do, hanging out together and enjoying a drink, singing in a bar and working on cars. It’s a visual reminder of the lyrics – that when you’re young, you should try everything and explore different paths.
