On July 13th, GFRIEND released the title track MV, ‘Apple’. This comes off the simultaneous release of their 9th mini album, ‘回: Song of the Sirens’. Check out the MV down below!
GFRIEND ‘APPLE’ MV:
The choreography throughout the track shows off the group’s abilities and has an elegant and refined feel. This is evident in the chorus with the twirls and strut moves that add impact to an otherwise strong synth beat track. The song’s lyrics describe the feelings of a girl losing her will in the face of temptation. Vocally, the members all shine with high notes sprinkled throughout the each chorus.
The MV starts with Eunha sitting below an enchanting apple tree as she picks an apple and eats it. She smiles before losing conscious, probably due to the poisoned apple. We see the group in the middle of a garden full of bushes and shrubs before then seeing them in the middle of a dining room doing various activities like being on the table, and causing chaos by breaking vases. Subsequently, we see Yuju‘s eyes being covered by all the members. When the members take their hands away from her, she has a dark look in her pupils.
The girls are then seen in a castle with new stunning dark dresses, and matching daring make up looks. Eunha then opens up a chest and blue butterflies emerge flying out of it. The girls decide to burn the apple tree from the start as they look over it and a member passes a blood red glass bead to Eunha. By the end of the MV, we see SinB entrancingly around the burning tree and the members all sit on their thrones in the castle. However, the members grow horns on their heads as the horns also start growing inside the castle.
GFRIEND‘s 9th mini album, ‘回: Song of the Sirens’, features a total of six tracks and is available to stream and listen on major platforms now.
