Officially Kmusic would like to extend our well wishes to UNIQ on their 2nd anniversary!
UNIQ is a Chinese-South Korean five member group, which was a project of a Chinese company called Yuehua Entertainment.
The group has a Chinese-born leader, Zhou Yixuan, and a Korean-born leader, Kim Sungjoo. Other members are Li Wenhan, Cho Seungyoun and Wang Yibo.
Before the members debuted, they had seemingly unconnected careers – for example, Yixuan had dancing training in Sydney, Australia, Wenhan was a swimming and diving prodigy, but also a classical guitar trained musician, Yibo participated in the Chinese national Hip Hop dancing contest in 2011, Seungyoun played soccer and lived in The Philippines, Brazil and USA, and Sungjoo graduated from Anyang Arts School and trained with YG Entertainment.
The five members got recruited in China and practiced together for 4 and a half years before debuting in October 2014 with the single “Falling in love”.
