Once upon a time, in a land far away known as SMTOWN, there was a unit formed by Super Junior‘s unique diva Heechul and TRAX‘s incredible guitarist JungMo. They were named M&D, which means “Midnight & Down“.
The duo debuted in 2011 with the song “Close Ur Mouth” and a funny music video that featured as many celebrities as Amber‘s “Shake That Brass”, including FT Island‘s Hongki and Jonghoon, Miss A’s Jia, BEAST‘s Junhyung and many others.
It’s been fairly quiet since they debuted in 2011, but as of late more news has been steadily leaking out of a possible comeback.
Heechul has been teasing M&D’s comeback on his Instagram for a few days, and on March 24th the confirmation finally came: the unit will be releasing their first mini-album soon, and by the teasers that Heechul has been sharing, they will go for a funny country-like concept.
Their upcoming music video will also feature many famous artists, this time including KARA‘s Goo Hara, Sistar‘s Bora, G-Friend‘s Yerin, Jang Dong Min and more. It’s really nice to see idols from so many companies joining their friends’ music videos, like we’ve started to see recently, especially from SM Entertainment.
The video will also be directed by Heechul himself, and for what we know him, there’s no limit for where his imagination could take us.
The duo recently held a breath-taking performance on “Immortal Song” with Can‘s “My Life’s Spring“, showing that they are ready to rock our lives once again. Check out the performance:
More details about M&D’s comeback will be released soon, so stay tuned to Officially Kmusic to keep updated!
