OMEGA X made a triumphant return to Chicago, captivating fans with their highly anticipated second world tour, KEEP GOIN’. Undeterred by the low temperatures, fans, known as FOR X, weathered the worst of the cold for the opportunity to see their beloved 11 members as they filled up the quaint venue equipped with lightsticks and fan signs.
The show began with “LOUDER,” the catchy opening track from their third and latest mini-album. The excitement continued on as the next songs were “ICETAG” and “VAMOS,” two high-energy songs that were received well with an overjoyed welcome of cheers and screams. The momentum continued on as the group introduced their first all-English track, “LOVE ME LIKE,” and FOR X sang along passionately, taking the opportunity to shower OMEGA X with reciprocal love with one of the few songs that bore no language barrier.
Next up was “BAILA CON OX,” a dance track that always serves as the highlight to OMEGA X’s setlist. With the popular song’s performance, the energy in the venue only increased, setting the tone for what was to come during the rest of the show. “HEY!” and “PLAY DUMB” were the next songs up, bringing a lighter, more youthful atmosphere to the show in comparison to the previous powerful performances. Continuing to show their versatility, “PLEASE” and “YOUNGER” were next, showing off more of a vocal-based performance.
While the night itself was filled with many amazing encounters and experiences, fans also got to witness the live preview of their entire discography from their latest album, which included title track “JUNK FOOD.” This in turn was also very memorable for OMEGA X themselves, as this was the first time they performed this discography on tour.
As the night drew to a close, the boy group wrapped up their performances with the sweet, somber melody of “ISLAND.” The harmonies blended seamlessly, leaving the audience with a bittersweet farewell. The KEEP GOIN’ World Tour proved to be a night filled with fantastical memories, solidifying OMEGA X’s place as an all-rounder group in the K-Pop music scene.
Special thank you to OMEGA X’s team and Studio PAV for allowing Officially Kmusic to attend and cover the show. Make sure to check out all of our photos on our Facebook page now!
