On January 23rd, Yves brought her first U.S. Solo Tour, the Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour, to Chicago, serving up a performance that was as sweet and unforgettable as its name. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, her ethereal presence captivated the crowd, turning the venue into a dreamscape. The night was a perfectly blended mix of high-energy pop anthems, heartfelt ballads, and intimate fan moments, all of which highlighted Yves’ incredible versatility and left the audience craving more.
Yves kicked off the night with her debut track, “LOOP,” pairing it with mesmerizing choreography that took fans back to her radiant beginnings. The energy shifted to a sultry vibe with “Tik Tok,” while “Gone Girl” brought a lively yet sensuous beat that had everyone hooked. She kept the crowd on their toes with a mix of covers that highlighted her flawless English and impressive musical range. From Madison Beer’s “Selfish” to Avril Lavigne’s “Happy Ending” and even the timeless “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton, each performance carried an indie rock twist that had the multi-generational audience singing their hearts out.

Yves naturally set the stage for “DIORAMA” with a dazzling solo preview from her incredibly skilled dancers. The song itself had a mellow vibe, radiating a gentle energy that perfectly complemented the graceful choreography. To mark the halfway point of the night, she switched gears with a mini Q&A session that had the crowd smiling and laughing. She spilled on everything from her biggest musical inspiration—those fleeting but cherished moments with her fans—to her favorite cereal, and even reminisced about a standout memory from January: her time in Chicago.
Keeping the mood intimate, “Goldfish” showcased a soft acoustic melody that paired flawlessly with Yves’ enchanting voice. The night then took a heartfelt pause to shine a spotlight on her unofficial tour opener, blah. Stepping into his own moment, he captivated the crowd with powerful vocals that carried raw emotion through every note. His set, backed by a range of acoustic instrumentals, left the audience completely spellbound.
Yves returned to the stage with “Hashtag,” an electrifying number that cranked up the intensity with an unforgettable chair dance. “Viola” followed suit, bringing just as much energy but with choreography that stole the show. As the night went on, tracks like “See You in Hell” shifted the vibe back to her signature indie sound, resonating with raw, heartfelt emotion.
Closing the main set, “Afterglow” and “DIM” brought things full circle, leaving a lingering sense of magic in the air—like a fleeting dream you didn’t want to wake from. But, Yves wasn’t done yet. She returned for an encore with “LOOP,” which hit differently now that it truly marked the end. Her dancers joined her one last time for intros and heartfelt thanks, capping off the night on a perfectly crunchy, unforgettable note.
