As many knows, Katie Kim is K-pop Star 4‘s winner and she had left YG Entertainment for a new agency. This new agency is actually an agency that was set up by a former YG executive where YG will still be involved in the production and the distribution of her upcoming solo album. Good news is that we will definitely be able to see Katie Kim debut in June! In particular, she has joined the agency, AXIS, where the company had announced ‘The Birth Of Katie‘ and reveals details on her official debut. AXIS has revealed a set of image teasers that gives fans a feel for the kind of vibe and style she will be going with. It is definitely an interesting concept where it is quite aesthetically pleasing to look at. It is magical in one sense while it really adopts the galaxy vibe at the same time. She just looks so beautiful in all these teasers and definitely makes one more curious than ever as to what she will be doing. It also teases for the debut date, which is deliberately left blank, giving fans something to look forward to!
Embracing the theme that she has adopted in her first set of teasers, she has also revealed her official symbol. It is called ‘Circle Of Quintinity‘. There is definitely a lot going on and it surely leaves fans quite curious as to how this will connect up to her debut. There are many individual shots of her just staring at the camera while others definitely draw in the artsy vibe. It is interesting in the way they are promoting her as an artist.
More details were revealed about this debut. It appears that she will be releasing multiple singles which will lead up to her debut album. The debut single will be revealed on June 18th, with the second single released on August 18th, followed by the debut album on October 18th.
With that comes the first set of official image teasers for her upcoming debut with ‘LOG‘. The images are quite interesting where the projecting words are like inputs and computer codes. It is definitely an interesting concept and it is surely going to lead fans to a concept like no other. It is able to show her individualism and maintaining her own image in this music industry. It will be interesting to see the kind of music that will work with this kind of concept.
So, it looks like her debut single is called ‘Remember‘. The first motion teaser has been revealed. No sound is used for this motion teaser yet without it, the video already appears to be complete. The way it fades in and out to make a final clear image is done magnificently well and it definitely captures people’s attention. The following quote also accompanies the video: “Remember me when You come in Your Kingdom!“.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Cjamm and Bill Stax (VASCO) is featured in her upcoming debut MV. So, AXIS has released an official statement explaining why the arrests of these two may affect her debut. The statements say “rapper Cjamm and Bill Stax have both appeared in Katie Kim’s upcoming MV. Since they play a considerable important role in her MV, we are currently finding ways to edit the video. We are currently considering filming additional scenes. In the worst scenario, there may be a delay in her debut.”
