KMUSIC’s Interview with Michelle Chong
Q. Tell us about the movie [3 Peas in a Pod]. What did you want to portray to the public through this movie?
Michelle: “3 Peas in a Pod is a movie about young people. It’s about friendship, love and obsession.
I wanted to do this movie because I wanted to feel young again; I want to re-live my youth. I remember my own university years when I was studying abroad. I think it would be interesting to tell a story, especially of Asian students, studying in a foreign country.”
Q. Why did you choose the cast members?
Michelle: “I choose Xander (Alexander Lee Eusebio) because he is very cute. He has such a universal appeal. Calvin (Calvin Chen) I met him once before and I thought he was suitable for the role. Jae (Jae Liew) we auditioned her for the role in Singapore.”
Q. Why did you choose this campus out of several universities in Melbourne?
Michelle: “Well it’s got really nice architecture, looks a bit like New England, where I was studying before. It looks romantic; a nice back drop to the movie.”
Thank you once again to Michelle for taking some of time for the interview, and for the cast and crew who allowed us to take some pictures from the set. You can catch Michelle on Facebook and Twitter.
We wish this movie all the best, so keep your eyes out for it’s release in November. In the mean time, check out the some of the photos from the set below!
