After it was announced that Lee Joon and Thunder were probably going withdraw from MBLAQ , a lot of controversy rose regarding the groups’ future. Their company, J.Tune Camp, surely did calm down the fans a little bit by releasing MBLAQ’s 7th Mini-album “Winter“, but it still wasn’t enough to comfort the fans’ frantic hearts.

On November 29th, the boys held a Curtain Call concert in which they stopped for a moment to talk to their fans and ended up bursting into tears as they talked about their unclear future.

Seungho held up the mic first, but couldn’t continue as the tears came out, so Mir took his place, saying, “This isn’t the end and that’s not how we see this but I’m so heart-broken that that’s how this situation appears to be to people. We wanted to say things with our own mouths but because it’s a sensitive topic, we couldn’t bring it up easily. We tried our best to keep our team together. You probably worried a lot too and wanted to hear many things and we’re sorry for not telling you. We will not end here. If we gather as one and not worry, it will all work out.”

G.O also shared his fears, saying, “I think I’ll be happy until today. I don’t want tomorrow to come.”

Lee Joon, the one who started the whole situation, thanked their fans for staying with them all this time, “There are people who loved us from the very beginning and those who didn’t but we are all here together in one place, tearing up together, and I am so honored to be here. Thank you for always being on our side from 2009 to 2014. I will always be thankful.”

Thunder then ended by saying, “It’s hard even for friends and family to always be supportive but you have given us so much the past 5 years and we tried our best to repay that love. I hope I could continue to see you.” and their thanked their fans once again.

The fans yelled “Don’t cry” and “We love you” and many of them cried with their idols.

Now, after their final concert in the Curtain Call tour, the boys from MBLAQ and their company will talk about their future and will soon release an official statement with the news.

Stay tuned for updates on MBLAQ’s situation and let’s hope it will all end up well for everyone.

I've loved Asia in general since I was a little kid, when I used to prefer animes over regular cartoons and my friends thought I was weird. While I became older, my love for Asian culture grew up and I began to listen to japanese music and watch japanese dramas, which I fell in love with. A few years ago, my friends dragged me into the k-pop world and I began so involved with Korea that I think I will never be able to overcome my love for it. I now dream of studying in Korea and, hopefully, working in Seoul and living the rest of my life there. I believe that there's no k-pop group that I really don't like, but my ultimate biases are G-Dragon, Heechul, Hongki, CL, Lee Hi, Hani and Hyuna. I also like YG Appa and JYP a lot, but as fatherly figures, not really as idols.
