Starship Entertainment has released a statement regarding one of their rookies, MinHyuk of Monsta X, and his current state of being hospitalised.
According to agency representatives, MinHyuk was practicing on January 17 and hurt himself. He did continue with his scheduled calendar and attended the 2016 Idol Star Athletics Championship (ISAC) but was unable to participate in any active events. During that time he reported still being in much pain and thus was sent to the hospital where they found he had a torn ligament in his knee.
Previously, Monsta X had been attending the end-of-year award shows as six members as I.M had been recovering from a surgery as well on his leg from issues he had been suffering before debut and is now in recovery. With MinHyuk being injured, the group had move forward as five members for the Golden Disk Awards and any activities after that as both members recover. You can catch all seven members on their new reality show airing at the moment, ‘Right Now!’.
It is sad to think MinHyuk and I.M are in pain, especially since they are dancers as well, but I am glad that Starship is taking care of them and getting them treatment so Monsta X can come back bigger and better than ever. How do you feel about this new development? Let us know!
