ONE has finally made his long-awaited debut with not one, but two, title tracks – ‘Heyahe’ and ‘Gettin’ by’.
The rapper who is YG Entertainment’s first solo artist to debut in 14 years released his debut single album on July 11.
The two tracks are different from each other, but both ae reflective of ONE’s style and unique abilities.
The first track ‘Heyahe’ stays true to ONE’s hip hop roots with big doses of RnB thrown in for good measure. The beat is consistent and flows very smoothly through the transitions of singing to rapping. ONE has stated that G-Dragon is one of his major influences and this is very evident in this song.
The video for ‘Heyahe’ is quite dark and mysterious, but it does fit the smooth RnB nature of the track.

‘Gettin’ by’ is the second of the double title track release and is much slower when compared to ‘Heyahe’, but still has its roots firmly planted in the hip-hop genre. It is a more upbeat and ‘friendly’ track. There is an edge to ONE’s voice when he is singing which makes the song appear a little rough around the edges in a completely great way.
The accompanying video for ‘Gettin’ by’ has a relaxed vibe to it and is a contrast to the darkness in the video for ‘Heyahe’. It would seem to me that it would be a great video for the summer months.

ONE will be performing his debut tracks for the first time this weekend. He already has a huge following based on his smooth voice and charming good looks and there is sure to be lots of audience participation when he performs.
