Red Velvet is only a few days away from setting their foot in the Japanese music scene. The group will debut in Japan on the 4th of July, with their first Japanese mini album ‘#Cookie Jar‘.
The album will contain six tracks in total. The first three of these, ‘#Cookie Jar‘, ‘Aitai-tai‘ and ‘‘Cause it’s you‘, are original Japanese tracks that have been composed specifically for Red Velvet‘s Japanese debut. The remaining three tracks, ‘Dumb Dumb‘, ‘Russian Roulette‘ and ‘Red Flavor‘, are Japanese versions of their existing songs.
Although the album has yet to come out, Red Velvet allowed fans to have an early taste of it by revealing the full music video of the title song ‘#Cookie Jar‘, which is a bubblegum pop track with a beat similar to ‘Rookie‘.
Red Velvet has maintained their streak of releasing catchy title tracks with ‘#Cookie Jar‘. It is the type of song that compels you to hum along with it. Give it a listen and you’ll surely find yourself singing “Put your hands in the cookie jar” with Joy and Irene when the song reaches the hook.
