Samuel just made his hot return with his 2nd mini album ‘ONE‘ and revealed a music video of the title track of the same name, which features BTOB‘s Jung Ilhoon.

‘ONE‘ is a fast-paced track with based prominently on strong drum beats coupled with melodic synth sounds. The sudden and drastic change in the beat during Ilhoon‘s rap perfectly counterbalanced the recurring melodies in the song. Also, the ending could not have been done more beautifully. Samuel‘s parts sounded orderly and organized to the point that the track could have been boring if not for the chaotic ad-libs towards the end. This lent a variety and colour to the whole track and simply just made it as awesome as it is.
And of course, we cannot but talk about the man in the spotlight— Samuel. Firstly, he has efficiently showcased his expertise in dancing in the music video. The type of charisma Samuel emanates with every move is indescribably rare, even in K-pop where expert dancers roam in abundance. And secondly, Samuel‘s originally good vocal skills seem to have improved even more this year. He has shown us a greater vocal range in ‘ONE‘ compared to his previous title tracks ‘Sixteen‘ and ‘Candy‘. Plus, it is not only his vocals that have changed. Samuel shed his boyish image and went for a more mature and fierce concept for this comeback. And who would have thought he would look this great in a suit?
