On November 5th, Stray Kids released a special video for their track ‘Mixtape#3‘. It is the last track on the physical version of their third mini album ‘I am YOU‘. This mini album was released on October 22nd. Check it out below!
Stray Kids’ video for ‘Mixtape#3’:
We enter the video to see the members sitting individually at their own desks in a classroom. The members are even dressed in grey school uniform. They appear to be writing a test. One by one, as their parts come in, the camera focuses on the individual member as the rest of the group buzzes around them. They look like they are losing focus as time passes by. The members start fooling around by playing basketball across the classroom and repeatedly spinning the globe. Towards the end of the video, the members celebrate the end of school by running out into the hallway dressed in their own clothes. Confetti falls around them, and they freely throw their papers into the air. In a bittersweet ending, the video ends with “For you. You make Stray Kids stay.”
The song was originally written and sang by pre-debut subunit 3RACHA. This subunit is made up of leader Bang Chan, Han and Changbin. However, it was altered so that the whole group could sing it. Felix even raps in English, in which his Australian accent comes out. The song is a mellow song with nostalgic vibes. Its bittersweet melody will relax anyone who listens to it.
