Korean rapper Swings is coming under fire for a video posted on his Facebook page on September 9th, which depicted an execution in the style of a parody. Needless to say, fans were less than amused.
On his Facebook page the video was captioned, “In Gapyeong.” In the video you see Swings and fellow rapper C Jamm kneeling in front of a pool, while Giriboy is seen standing behind them with an imaginary gun, similar to the execution clip released by Islamist militant group ISIS. Giriboy then pretended to fire the gun with his finger, the two rappers then jokingly faling into the pool and floating on water as if they were dead.
Since the videos release, it has been finding its way all over the internet and is causing a huge stir, garnering a lot of negative responses from fans. Netizens weren’t afraid to hide their dislike and to condemn the rapper for his actions, claiming the video as “intolerable.” Since the incident, the rapper’s agency released a statement on the video, which claimed the video had no real harmful intent, that it was only posted for fun.
Netizens are accusing Swings of making fun of the recent tragic beheading clip of two American journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
