Main rapper, songwriter, and producer, Ravi, has dropped the first track off his first official mixtape, ‘R.EBIRTH’. Featuring Microdot, fellow ‘Show Me The Money 4’ contestant, the song is one of possibly four tracks that will be slowly released throughout 2016. At least that is what it looks like based on the image Ravi released on his Instagram.
The new album is entirely produced by Ravi, which just adds to his already extensive resume. Starting with his days on ‘MyDol,’ Jellyfish Entertainment’s newest and first boy group, Kim WonSik has created a name for himself globally. Not only has Ravi been active in VIXX, but he has also worked with Seo InGuk, Brian Joo, Chad Future, and Melody Day. He has been credited for lyrics in over 50 songs, and though he usually isn’t credited for it, he has help compose many as well.
Fans got a taste of Ravi’s style as a soloist when he debuted in a sub-unit with Leo for VIXX LR. ‘Ghost’ was the solo track he wrote, composed, and rapped on the ‘Beautiful Liar’ album. ‘Where Should I Go’ has a much different feel. The backbeat is simple and can easily get stuck in your head, while Ravi’s vocals carry a deeper tone mixed with a growl. Microdot and Ravi have a very similar style which blends nicely. No music video has been released yet, but you can check the song out below.
I am excited to see what else he releases for this album and what collaborations are in the works. How did you like the song? Tell us your opinions.
