Ahn Jaehyun and Ku Hye Sun have announced they will be tying the knot on May 21. According to their agencies “Since the wedding ceremony is in private, only with their families, specific time and places won’t be revealed.”
Having met on the set for the KBS drama ‘Blood’ last year, the two started off as co-stars and transformed their love from on-screen to off-screen. With only a three year difference between the two, Hye Sun being the older, the two actors each have an extensive resume of their achievements.
Ku Hye Sun is an actress, singer-songwriter and director under YG Entertainment. She entered the industry as a renown ulzzang (which means fresh face) and started her acting career with ‘Pure Heart’ in 2004. She gained huge fame when she starred in ‘Boys Over Flowers’ opposite Lee MinHo, Kim HyunJoong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon of T-MAX. She directed her first independent film in 2009 called ‘The Madonna’ which showed at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. Since then she has directed four more films.
Thought to have debuted with music in mind, YG advised Hye Sun to continue with acting but that hasn’t stopped her from lending her voice to various OSTs along with two full albums of her own composition and nine singles as well. Her most recent comeback was last fall with ‘Let Me Fly’.
HB Entertainment’s Ahn Jaehyun started to capture hearts as a model first with his first show in 2009. Since then he has been featured in magazines, commercials, and ads throughout the years. In 2011, he started to really get noticed when he did a few variety shows like ‘High Society’ He has also been featured in a few music videos with Baek A-yeon, K.Will, and SISTAR19.
His first role was in ‘My Love From Another Star’ when he played the younger brother of Jun Ji Hyun’s character. He was offered more roles after that but his first leading role was for ‘Blood’ where he played Park Ji Sang, a vampire doctor who preferred to do good over evil. This is the show that brought Ku Hye Sun into his life as she played his leading lady.
It was revealed late last year that the two had been dating for while and now they will take their relationship to the next level with a beautiful simple ceremony. The wedding is to be so small that the couple has announced that any money left over will be donated to the pediatrics ward of Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul on the same day.
The couple said, “We met as innocent lifetime partners for each other and decided to spend the rest of our lives together from May 21. During the time we’ve spent together, we are learning how valuable to live for each other and we will respect each other.”
As a fan of both actors, you have no idea how excited I am to see them find love with one another and be so humble and amazing.
