On June 19th, boy group WEi released a close-up version of their latest title track, ‘BYE BYE BYE’. The group officially made their comeback on June 9th with the third installment of their ‘Identity’ mini album series, ‘Identity: Action’. The summery dance-pop title track showcased the group’s brighter yet masculine concept to fit the season.
Since their debut last year, the sextet have kept with stable album sales with their debut mini album selling 67,000 copies and its successor, ‘Identity: Challenge’, amassing 66,000 copies. Hence, there are certainly signs of a strong fanbase to grow from, especially as most members had pre-debut experience; mainly from idol survival shows, with member Yohan debuting in the short-lived ‘Produce X 101’ group, X1; members Yongha and Junseo debuting in the project group, 1THE9; Donghan joining project group JBJ; and Donghyeon in the lineup for Rainz.
This third mini album marks their 3rd release within their first year of debut. With just over 3 months left till the Oui Entertainment group celebrates their 1st anniversary, there could be potential for another comeback in the coming months.
As opposed to the music video, this version of the MV focuses on the close-ups of all the members without the choreography. Check out the MV down below!
