The East Light have made their comeback with the release of their third digital single album ‘Real Man‘.
The track is best described as a disco-funk track with lyrics that talk about wanting that special someone to realise that they are indeed a ‘Real Man‘.
This track is a bit of a departure from the more rock based music we are used to hearing from the group, however, it still retains that band sound and just pushes it into a disco-funk beat that works with, and for, their vocals. The song opens with a rumbling synth bass that builds with the use of electric guitars, drums and even strings. It’s a sound that suits them so well and would not be out of place in a ’70’s disco.
This song is fun and catchy and will have you bopping along in your seat. The light and bright vocal fits the genre of this song and they do it well.
In order to pull off the theme of the song, the group are dressed in black suits and their hair is slicked back. They’re all looking very mature, despite their young age, as they try to prove to their crush that they are ‘Real Man‘.
Watch The East Light in ‘Real Man’
After showing us how mature they can be with ‘Real Man‘, The East Light have also released the full video to ‘Two of Us‘.
The performance video shows off a softer, more gentle side of the group. The pop ballad-style track starts out with a simple acoustic guitar but the synth and electric guitar are soon added to add roundness to the track.
