‘Like This‘ hits a nice balance between powerful, upbeat sections and more relaxed sounds. The song starts off with pulsing piano chords which are soon replaced by a funky, retro bass line. San Yoon‘s voice is a perfect fit for the rhythmic vocal line, and the harmonies created by layering his voice add to the funk style of the song. A slightly more laid back section before the chorus gives the listeners a chance to take a rest from the heavy bass sounds and helps break up the song.
Most of HOTSHOT‘s members are currently involved in other activities, with Sungwoon being a member of Wanna One, Taehyun in JBJ, and Timoteo and Hojung competing on ‘The Unit‘. With his group unable to promote together for the time being, it will be interesting to see if HOTSHOT member Yoonsan releases any more music under his own title San Yoon!
