Legendary R&B trio Solid are back!
After a 21 year hiatus Solid have made their return with new album ‘Into the Light‘!
The trio who debuted all the way back in 1993 have released music videos for two songs off the album, including the title song ‘Into the Light‘. ‘Into the Light‘ has a smooth, modern R&B sound that encompasses the listener. The track’s slightly edgy tone is complemented by a sophisticated music video which contrasts dark colours with muted neons. Silky vocals carry a fluid melody which is supported by a funky instrumental featuring a catchy guitar riff. The rap verse provides a moment of punchy contrast to the rest of the otherwise sleek track. Check out the music video for ‘Into the Light‘ below!

The second track from ‘Into the Light‘ to receive a music video is ‘Memento‘! ‘Memento‘ has a much lighter sound than ‘Into the Light‘, but maintains a touch of sadness and regret through its contemplative instrumental composition. A plaintive vocal line allows the Solid members to express this emotion with their touchingly soft voices. ‘Memento‘ also has a beautiful music video which plays with the contrast between light and dark to drive the message of the clip home.
