Rookie boy group Target has made their official Korean debut with the release of their first mini-album ‘Alive‘ and the title track ‘Awake‘.
Target are already well-known to fans of K-pop as they made their debut in Japan last year and have been gaining in popularity since then. The 7 member boy group consists of Seulchan, G.I, Jess, Hyun, Roy, Baun, and Woojin.
‘Awake‘ is described as a hip hop dance track that has been produced by Sweetune. The track is rich and lush and features a beautiful orchestral base that is combined with a driving electric guitar sound. The rap builds over the instrumental until the vocal line take over, however, the rap is certainly the feature of this song.
The clip itself sees the members in what appears to be a laboratory hooked up to a series of machines and monitors before they break free to prove they are ‘Awake’.
