VAV recently released their third mini album ‘Spotlight‘ which features the double title tracks ‘Spotlight‘ and ‘Gorgeous‘.
The boys first released the MV for ‘Spotlight‘ and now, they have released another MV for the second title track ‘Gorgeous‘.
Both songs were co-composed/produced by Ryan S. Jhun, and while they have a similar feel, ‘Gorgeous‘ is more of a funk-pop song. It has a an upbeat vibe and lively instrumentation that matches VAV‘s style so well.
The track opens with a police siren and then jumps right into the rhythm guitar driven beat. The highlight of the song has to be the bubbly and effervescent chorus. The groove and funk of the track is aided by additional instrumentation and the brass-heavy bridge which prevents the song from falling into the current K-pop favourites of trap and EDM.
The choreography is lively and funky just like the track itself. And, what’s more, the members actually look like they’ve having fun with it!
