The original members of Typhoon are preparing for a comeback!
Ten years on from Solbi‘s departure from the group, the lead singer, together with members Ji Hwan and Woo Jae, is reforming Typhoon! The group will make their return to the music industry with a remake of their hit debut track ‘So‘, which was originally released way back in 2006.
‘So‘ was Typhoon‘s title track on their debut album ‘TROIKA‘. According to a representative for the group, Typhoon‘s 2018 remake of the song will showcase their original charm alongside their musical growth. With ‘So‘ being renowned for its combination of house beats and a sad string melody, Typhoon will be looking to evoke feelings of nostalgia in the fans that have waited patiently for their return for almost a decade, whilst also altering the track to follow some more recent musical trends.
Take a listen to Typhoon‘s original recording of ‘So‘ here!
The members of Typhoon have been busy in the years since the group’s disbandment in 2010. Solbi has pursued careers in both music and acting, and even featured as a guest teacher in MNet‘s 2017 survival program ‘Idol School‘ as a Psychological Health Management teacher. Woo Jae has remained active as a solo ballad singer, with his most notable release being ‘Why Are We Breaking Up‘.
Typhoon will make their long-awaited return to the music industry with a remake of ‘So‘ on January 26!
