VINXEN, also known as Lee Byung Jae, has made his debut with not one, but two new MVs!
After coming in third place on ‘High School Rapper 2,’ VINXEN set out to make a name for himself. Firstly, he dropped a successful EP on SoundCloud, now he’s released two special music videos for fans.
The MVs include two songs that he performed during his time on ‘High School Rapper 2’ – the first is ‘Sinking Down With U’ and the second is ‘How Do You Feel.’
The first MV ‘Sinking Down With U’ starts with VINXEN waiting for a train. Like everyone else, he takes his seat on the dull train and listens to music. He gets lost in the music, and soon he’s alone on the train. From here, the vibes all change, and the train becomes an interesting backdrop, as VINXEN loses himself in the music. There are some also crazy moments, such as flashing lights and jellyfish!
The song itself, while quite autotuned, is still catchy. The song does not focus much on the rap ability that VINXEN is known for but instead has more of an EDM feel. Give it a listen.

The next track ‘How Do You Feel’ starts slower and is much more focused on VINXEN’s rap abilities. Rather than singing, VINXEN shows a lot of emotion, and as he raps, it’s almost as if he is talking to an audience.
The MV starts as he sits, nervous, with a camera pointed towards him. He looks distressed, and there are soon shots of a teacher, and his upset mother and father. It becomes clear that in this MV VINXEN is a high school student, that is in trouble and has disappointed his parents. It can be very relatable for anyone struggling with school or studies.

Overall the two songs are very different but are great in showing VINXEN’s versatility. Both songs prove his ability not only as a rapper, but as a performer, and we are excited to see what he has in store next.
