TWICE are back with another addictive hit!
TWICE‘s new title track bounces along, spurred on by the group’s trademark energy. ‘What is Love?‘, the lead track from TWICE‘s mini album of the same name, expresses the curiosity of a girl unexperienced in love. The lyrics, written by JYP himself, show the girl’s hope that love in real life will stack up against its portrayal in dramas and movies. ‘What is Love?‘ is another synth-based dance track from TWICE. Pulsing chords and active percussion form a solid base for the nine unique voices of TWICE to shine against.
The music video for ‘What is Love?‘ sees TWICE take on another interesting concept. The nine members are crowded around a television watching famous films and dramas, all of which have a romantic scene! From Western films including the 1990 smash hit ‘Ghost‘ and the 1996 favourite ‘Romeo + Juliet‘, to the Japanese box-office success ‘Love Letter‘, the ‘What is Love?‘ music video is packed full of references to popular culture, with all parts played by the TWICE members! Can you spot them all in the music video below?
