Rain has finally made his long-awaited comeback with his new album ‘My Life‘ and the title track ‘Gang‘.
Only days after giving us the pre-release track, ‘Let’s Break Up Today’ featuring Urban Zakapa‘s Jo Hyun Ah, the multi-talented performer dropped the full album and title track.
‘Gang‘ is an urban track with a strong hip-hop influence. It’s a powerful track that is a bit of a departure in terms of style, from anything that we have heard from Rain previously. He has one of the most recognisable, husky toned voices in K-pop and it is on full display in this track. The electronic breakdown that starts off the track and continues throughout the song, does drown out his vocal in parts which is a shame, but I like the fact that Rain is trying something new. ‘Gang‘ was written and produced by the Magic Mansion team.
The accompanying video clip is as powerful as the song itself. Rain is the consummate performer and he had promised us something special with this release and he has delivered. The choreography for this track feels fresh and edgy and is perfectly suited to the style of ‘Gang’.

Just a day after releasing the full music video for ‘Gang‘, Rain has released the choreography special version for the track. The singer is front and centre in his rehearsal room taking his team of dancers through the choreography for the urban track.
