Last year’s Halloween playlist was pretty creepy right? Well, I can’t fill the list with VIXX (though the admins agree, their music videos are PERFECT for Halloween), so this year’s list is a little upbeat, since there weren’t a lot of releases this month with a creepy theme.
HOWEVER, the costumes and themes are pretty outrageous on the list, so they fit the theme of my list perfectly.
Let’s begin, shall we?
13. Boyfriend‘s “Bounce”
It was between this and “Witch.” I like “Witch,” but the song…and I really do like “Alice in Wonderland” better than “Little Red Riding Hood.”
The costumes in this one are fantastic! I love the song, I love the video, the ending is kinda funny too.
12. 4Minute‘s “Volume Up”
Who doesn’t love voluptuous vampire vixens dancing around in a castle? I know, it’s hard to resist. Especially with moves like that.
This is from their 2012 album of the same name.
11. Oh My Girl‘s “Closer”
“Alice in Wonderland” meets “Snow White,” one girl’s journey to stop herself from eating a poison apple and sleeping forever!
It was a little confusing, so I watched it more than once, but it’s really cool. Also, this song is one of my many jams.
10. TWICE‘s “Like OOH-AH”
TWICE from JYP debuted with “Like OOH-AH” recently, with a zombie concept.
The song is super catchy! Follow along as the girls galavant about, blissfully unaware of their zombie following.
9. IU “Twenty-Three”
“Twenty-Three” is a crazy trip down the rabbit hole as the third artist on this list heads off into Wonderland. Make sure to check it out!
8. EPIK HIGH‘s “Don’t Hate Me”
The video is fraught with tiny costumed children while the adults help them tear apart a 24-hour convenience store in the group’s 2012 release.
7. HISTORY‘s “Psycho”
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock‘s “Psycho,” the boys invite their…special guest over as the follow her through their home in their 2014 comeback.
6. Block B‘s “Jackpot”
Another editor suggested “Very Good,” but come on. Creepy, empty carnival, getting kidnapped by evil clowns (even if they DID turn out to be handsome boys), being tied to a board, spun around and having knives thrown at you? Pretty scary.
Which is why I chose “Jackpot” to be placed on the list.
5. Trouble Maker “Now”
There’s nothing like receiving a hand in your lunch bag to freak you out, am I right? In the drama version we see the full story of their 2013 single.
4. miss A‘s “Touch”
Why not sit in a dank, filthy, leaking bathroom or on a dirty bus with your lolli while singing sensually? Makes total sense right? Not super creepy per se, but it does have a dark air of mystery, like why their apartment is flooding.
I mean that’s scary right?
3. Taeyang‘s “I’ll Be There”
Because being stalked by shirtless possible vampire through a haunted house and cemetery isn’t really on your to do list. I mean, sure he’s attractive. Wouldn’t want him chasing me through a cemetery before I die of unnatural causes, but he’s cute.
2. VIXX’s “Error”
The problem with VIXX is choosing which music video to feature. They are the Halloween comeback kings, after all. So, I decided to settle on their latest, “Error.”
Because there’s nothing more I need than to torture myself with this music video which is a little weird, creepy, and extremely sad.
1. SHINee‘s “Married To The Music”
This came out WAAAAY before Halloween but the first thing I thought of when I saw this was, “Oh yeah, this is going on the list.”
This is from the repackage of their 4th album, “Odd,” and it’s magnificent. I love seeing girls tear boys apart to build the perfect boyfriend.
