2NE1‘s leader, CL, has recently had a chat with Billboard and revealed that the group will be making a comeback on April. However, YG Entertainment said that her statement was misinterpreted.
The agency representative stated: “Regarding the interview with Billboard, it was conducted when CL was in USA; as she had gone to New York in early February to attend New York Fashion Week. After discussion on the schedule, it was decided that CL will have a one-on-one interview with the Billboard representative. The relaxed atmosphere of the interview at that time must have led CL to hint on 2NE1′s new releases.”
For the question about the group’s comeback in April, they answered: “Actually I think there might have been a misinterpretation. 2NE1 is currently working on the album with the goal of releasing it in April in mind.”
They continued: “Looking at it now, it’ll be a little difficult for 2NE1′s new album to be released in April exactly, but they are scheduled to comeback with a cool look in the first half of the year.”
“While we have decided on when (the comeback) should be, nothing is set in stone yet. Right now, it’s even still hard to tell if it will be a mini-album or a full album.”
It seems that Blackjack will need to have a little bit longer.
