2PM is still going strong sitting comfortably on both the Oricon and Tower Records weekly singles charts for their track, “Winter Games” that was released on October 16th. Which makes this K-POP boy group to have the number one spot on the weekly chart in this month.
Japanese HOTTEST found their way at these stores locations after the single’s releases making “Winter Games” this week’s hottest seller.
The group members’ representative shared how gracious they are over the success of their song saying, “We are very pleased and happy about the honor of being number one on Oricon and Tower Records’s weekly charts after being number one on their daily charts. We will be a more diligent 2PM in accordance with all the love we have received. We sincerely thank everyone.”
2PM made their Japanese debut in May 2011 with the song “Take Off” which immediate success on the charts.Their debut single “no6” only reached number one on the Oricon and Tower Records charts, but also earned 2PM credibility as being the first Korean group to top the USEN J-Pop chart.
Their success in the country did not stop their, on May 29, 2PM made their Japanese comeback with the track “Give Me Love” and the song also performed well in the song rankings and was used as the theme to a popular J-drama, Take Five. Other Japanese singles under their belt include “I’m Your Man” and “Masquerade” which appeared at number one as well.
