2PM‘s 5th Japanese single “Masquerade” is gaining endless popularity and love in Japan.
Following the song’s release on the 14th, it debuted at #2 on the Oricon Charts. It then took the #1 spot at the Tower Records, and is still continuing its high streak this week, staying at #1 for the 2nd consecutive week. It is still within the top 5 of the Oricon Singles Chart, flowing between 3rd and 4th place.
It is rare for an artist to stay in the top 5 after their song has already been released 2 weeks, so 2PM’s feat proves their popularity growth in Japan. They had also previously set a record at the Tower Records with their single “Beautiful,” so fans are waiting for another deed to add to their list of accomplishments.
Not only these good news, but 2PM’s Arena Tour in January has been completely sold out, and thus limited view seats have been opened for sale due to rising commands.
Do you like their new song “Masquerade?” Are you happy for 2PM?
