The internet is full of dance practice videos from all our favorite idols. I love theses videos. I like seeing how good or bad the choreography is with out the distraction of questionable costumes, box sets , random girls/guys and lens flares.
Sometimes, even during a live performance, the camera is moving around so much you miss a lot of the dancing itself. With close ups and shots of the audience sometimes we miss the best part or main point of the choreography.
So below is 8 of the best of those dance pratctice videos, in no particular.
BTS – “We Are Bulletproof Part 2”
I will never admit to how many times I have watched this video but let’s just say its more then 3 less then a thousand. Be sure to pay attention at around the 3 minute 13 second mark when Jimin passes his hat to JungKook. The boys are very powerful and confident in this video but if you need another reason then how about they fact we get the opportunity to see the boys’ abs.
EXO – “Growl”
There is no doubting the dancing skills of EXO and this video is just showing the world what we already know. It looks like the guys are actually having fun and are a bit more relaxed than for an actual performance. I also like the fact it was all the members not just EXO K or EXO M.
SHINee – “Everybody”
I don’t think you can have a “best of dance” list and not include SHINee. If you want to skip to the dancing then go to around the 1 minute 48 second mark. The choreography for this song is non-stop. If you don’t believe me now, you will once you get to the end of the video and they are all out of breath.
Xia Junsu -“Incredible”
Now it is time for me to control my feels: high energy, dedication and he is wearing shorts. Oh Junsu! Back to the dancing, there is no denying that he’s an amazing dancer and always has been. In fact I would go so far as to say the best and that is saying a lot in an industry full of epic dancers.
U Kiss – “Stop Girl”
This is just a good video. The guys are in sync and their transitions are spot on. Also the video is shot in such a way that you can be sure to get a good look at your bias. Until recently it felt as if it was tough to be a Kiss Me , when your group doesn’t get the attention that they should. This video is a good example that the talent has always been their its just no one really saw it.
B2ST – “Good Luck”
This song is going down as one of my favorite songs of the year. I think these guys are better performers now then when they first came out. My favorite part has to be the “toe tapping arm waving circle” transiting step, it is really a cool idea. Way better then the “you run back to the back” transitions we see a lot in Kpop.
Speed – “Zombie Party”
Oh Speed, such a good group but I don’t think these guys get the love they deserve. After viewing this video I added them to my list of best dancers in KPop. This group has seen some line up changes recently, but this is a great song and it was written by the groups leader Taewoon. In fact the the songs on the rest of the album are good too, if you like Zombie Party then be sure to check out “Look At Me Now.”
MR.MR – “Big Man”
Another group that is underrated, in my opinion and one that was added to my best dancers in KPop list. Do you remember the issue when Girl’s Generation released their song “MR.MR“? That was the sort of incident that could destroy a group, but since this song and video were released after that, we’re all hoping they will be able to not only survive but finally get the recognition they deserve.
There is no way I could include everyone and I know there are groups that did not make this list this time. Which is your favorite from the list and why? Did your bias make the list? Who do you think should make the list next time?
