It has been revealed previously that more than 9,000 Italians had gathered in Palermo for a flash mob event of Psy’s hit single, “Gangnam Style”.
The flash mob was reported to have taken place on the 6th of October in front of the Verdi Plaza, where the Teatro Massimo, one of the most popular and famous opera houses in all of Europe, is located. A video of the event was also uploaded on YouTube giving an idea of how big the flash mob was. In fact, Korean media reported that the Palermo flash mob have started a series of other flash mob events around Italy. Multiple videos showing fans dancing to “Gangnam Style” have also been uploaded on YouTube recently.
Netizens commented saying “Psy is the best Korean ambassador”, “Why is this not happening in Korea?” and “These videos give me chills”.
