After more than a year without showing their faces onstage, (except for Kyungri as a NASTY NASTY member) 9MUSES will finally release their third mini-album, “Drama,” which will be released on January 23rd.
The announcement was made on the group’s official Facebook, through a teaser picture showing one of the members cutting her own hair in a very dramatic way, that relates to the album title.
9MUSES albums and song titles are known for matching up with the lyrics for the songs. For example, in “Doll,” they talk about being played by a man as a doll, while in “Gun” they tell the guy to man up and because they are dangerous (like guns). Following this pattern, it seems like this album title will not only sum up the songs in it, but also 9MUSES’s current status.
The group has lost several members in 2014, now counting with just six of them, and many fans are still too sad or angry to support the group as it is now. Their company, Star Empire, still hasn’t revealed if more members will be added or if they will comeback as “6MUSES,” but both options seem to upset fans.
We wish 9MUSES a successful comeback despite their current situation, and hope they will release another killer song like they did all through 2013 when they rose to fame.
