On September 27th, boy group AB6IX released the music video to their new title track, ‘CHERRY’. The song comes off their also dropped 2nd full album, ‘MO’COMPLETE’. Featuring a total of 10 tracks, the lead single features credits to lyrics by members Daehwi and Woojin. This return brings the Brand New Music act to a bright pastel concept never done by the quartet. Although they have dipped into brighter concepts such as 2020’s ‘The Answer’, this comeback brings a very fresh vibe as they express their youth.
The lyrics of ‘CHERRY’ talk about comparisons between a lover to a cherry. Funky instrumentals bring an upbeat track along with changing melodies. The ‘Yum’ motif repeated in the chorus is catchy. Actually, there is notably more English within the lyrics overall, surely satisfying plenty of international fans wishing for a sing along bubbly anthem. Besides the vibrant vibes, raps within the second verse and bridge add an edge to the sugary clear vocal tune.

AB6IX ‘CHERRY’ MV:
Clicking on the music video, we see scenes found in the MV teaser as it opens with a school graduation book. Looking at moving pictures as the members sing to the track, they wear pastel, plaid and glasses. Being the stereotypical nerds, the boys move to take off the eyewear in a fashionable reveal, showing their charismatic bright idol looks. Having fun together, the group head to the rollerblading rink, riding under the neon lights. This makes for some awesomely lit sets as colour pop with saturation behind the otherwise dark rollerblading centre.
AB6IX‘s 2nd full album, ‘MO’ COMPLETE’, featuring the title track, ‘CHERRY’ is available now!
