Jeon Do Yeon has been invited to be a judge at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, being the first Korean actress to do so.
The actress is no stranger to setting records, as she was also the first Korean actress to win a Best Actress award for her role in “Secret Sunshine” in 2007. Many top actors, directors, producers, etc. are chosen to be judges, and this year the panel is more diverse than usual. The last representative from Korea was director Lee Chang Dong in 2009. Jeon Do Yeon will be joining fellow panelists Willem Dafoe, Sofia Coppolla, Gael Facia Nernal, among others. The 67th Cannes Film Festival is slated for May 14th through the 26th.
