Just days after the news of DSP Media’s veteran girl group KARA disbanding, KEYEAST has announced they have signed Goo Hara under their company.
Goo Hara had been with KARA since 2008 when she was added to the group along with Kang JiYoung. Since then she has participated in over a hundred pieces of music as a member of KARA. She also released her own solo album last year ‘Alohara (Can You Feel It?)’ with dual title tracks ‘Choco Chip Cookies’ and ‘어때 (How About Me?)’.
Besides her work in the music industry, Hara has worked as a model, host, and actress. Some of her works include ‘City Hunter’, ‘A Style For You’, and ‘Inkigayo’.
Before the disbandment of KARA, KEYEAST had already spoken about meeting Hara with means of her future projects in mind. “Goo is not only a charming singer but also has great potential to become an outstanding MC or actress,” according to a representative of KEYEAST. Other notable people associated with KEYEAST are Son DamBi, Kim SooHyun, Lee HyunWoo, and Park SeoJoon. The rookie group, The Ark, is also signed under the same agency.
We aren’t sure what the future will hold for Hara but with an extensive resume like she has, it isn’t hard to see that she will still continue to be an important aspect in the Korean Entertainment industry. I wish her all the best in her new endeavours and can’t wait to see what she does next. How do you feel about this news? Tell us your opinion!
