The “Korean Beyoncé”, Ailee, is ready to release her third Japanese single, “Sakura.”
While her previous Japanese singles “Heaven” and “U&I” were nothing more than Japanese versions of her already well-known songs, “Sakura” will be a brand new single, exclusively made for her Japanese comeback.
Ailee had previously announced the release of the new single on her Instagram, where she posted the single cover and said “#3/25 #Sakura NEW JAPANESE SINGLE ‘SAKURA’ RELEASING ON 3/25!!!! DONT MISS OUT. SHOW SOME LOVE! #BEEXCITED #ENGLISHCOVER #TAKEOVER #BOOM”
Now, in order to give us a hint on what to expect from “Sakura,” Ailee released a short lyric video for the upcoming song, showing us a bit of the lyrics and the melody. Check it out:
Although the lyrics are way more in English than Japanese, the song is indeed refreshing and the cherry blossom concept matches the Spring time perfectly. Ailee managed to mix her Korean-American style with a Japanese feeling very well. I can’t wait to see this music video!
“Sakura” will be out on March 25th, make sure you check it out!
Stay tuned to Officially Kmusic to find out more about Ailee and many other Korean artists!
