It was on everyone’s mind including YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk’s as to why Akdong Musician (AKMU) chose his company to debut.
AKMU recently revealed their reason behind their decision. The siblings stated that while SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment taught them valuable lessons during training, YG was the one that gave them great freedom in shaping themselves as artist. YG’s hands off approach, they said, really helped them in their decision.
AKMU hit instant success as their debut album “PLAY” sparked a flame in sales with the title song “200%.” The hot tune made its way to number one on numerous music charts as well.
